Introduction to the basic knowledge of power cables

1. Power cord copper, aluminum single wire drawn

The commonly used copper and aluminum rods of the power line are used at room temperature to reduce the cross section, increase the length and improve the strength of the drawing machine through one or several holes of the drawing mold. Wire drawing is the first process of each wire and cable company, and the primary process parameter of wire drawing is the mold technology.

2. Power line monofilament annealed

When the copper and aluminum monofilament is heated to the necessary temperature, the toughness of the monofilament is improved and the strength of the monofilament is reduced by recrystallization to meet the requirements of the conductive wire and cable core. The key of the annealing process is to eliminate the oxidation of the copper wire.

3. Stranding of power line conductors

In order to improve the flexibility of the power cord and facilitate the laying of the device, the conductive wire core accepts multiple monofilaments twisted. According to the stranding mode of the conductor core, it can be divided into regular stranding and irregular stranding. Irregular stranding is divided into bundle stranding, unison double stranding, extraordinary stranding and so on. In order to reduce the occupied area of the wire and reduce the geometric size of the power line, the clamping method is also used in the stranded conductor, so that the popular circle is changed into a semi-circle, a fan, a tile shape and a compact circle. This conductor is mainly used in the power line.

4. Cord insulation extrusion

Plastic power lines mainly use extruded solid insulation layer, plastic insulation extrusion of the primary technical requirements:

4.1. Bias: The bias value of the extruded insulation thickness is the main mark of the degree of extrusion, and most of the product structure size and its bias value have clear rules in the specification.

4.2. Lubrication: The outer surface of the extruded insulation layer requires lubrication, and shall not present poor quality problems of rough appearance, burning and impurities

4.3. Density: The cross section of the extruded insulation layer should be dense and robust, and there should be no visible pinholes and no bubbles.

5. Wiring of power cord

In order to guarantee the degree of molding and reduce the shape of the power cord, it is generally required to twist it into a circle. The mechanism of stranding is similar to conductor stranding, because the stranding joint diameter is large, and most of them use non-torsion method. The technical requirements of cable forming: first, the twisting and bending of the cable caused by the turning of the special-shaped insulated wire core; The second is to avoid the insulation layer being scratched.

Most of the cable in the cable is also accompanied by the completion of two other processes: one is the filling, the guarantee of the cable after the cable is rounded and unchanged; One is lashing, and the cable core is not lax.

6. Power cable inner cover

In order to maintain the insulating core from being sheathed, the insulation layer is required to be properly maintained, and the inner protective layer is divided into extruded inner protective layer (isolation jacket) and wrapped inner protective layer (cushion). Wrapping pad instead of lashing tape is carried out simultaneously with the cabling process.

Seven. Armoring of power cables

Laid in the underground power line, the task can accept the inevitable positive pressure effect, can choose the inner steel tape armor structure. The power line is laid in a place with both positive pressure effect and tension effect (such as water, vertical shaft or soil with large drop), and the structural type with internal steel wire armor should be selected.

8. Power cord outer sheath

The outer sheath is the part of the structure that maintains the insulation layer of the power line to avoid the corrosion of the elements. The primary effect of the outer sheath is to improve the mechanical strength of the power line, prevent chemical erosion, moisture-proof, waterproof immersion, and prevent the power line from burning. According to the different requirements of the power line, the plastic sheathing should be directly extruded by the extruder.
